When I meet a famous photographer I like to hand them my camera and ask them to take my picture. Anyone can take a picture of someone famous but how many people have a picture of themselves shot by David Alan Harvey? Magnum photographer Eli Reed is presenting a “Decisive Portrait” workshop as part of Magnum Days in Paris. Eli is a celebrated documentary photographer with the unique ability to see past the event he’s covering and peer into the very souls of his subjects. We spent the morning of day 5 putting together the class pictures for the final slide show to be presented later in the day. Each instructor at the Magnum Days workshop was showing a slideshow of the work from their class and we were excited to see what other students were up to! Hit the jump for more.
Day 4 of the Costa Manos Workshop at Magnum Days in Provincetown started with a short review and critique of the previous day’s shots and continued with more shooting in the afternoon.
