The movie that every street photographer is talking about is now available on DVD! I was lucky enough to see this film at the premier at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013 and I can tell you that it’s a must-see for anyone interested in this enigmatic woman’s story. The kickstarter campaign for this movie raised a whopping $105,000 of its $20,000 goal and clearly marked how interested people were in this story.
The film covers the John Maloof side of the Vivian Maier story and tends to focus on the discovery of the work and follows Maloof’s progress as he investigates the life of this reclusive nanny. However you fall on the Vivian Maier debate there’s no doubt that this film is an enjoyable watch. Highly recommended and available at wherever you buy your movies:
