The Leica M-P Safari Set was introduced in February 2015 and made headlines for being the first Leica limited edition set to sell for $1300 less than buying the plain old M-P and lens on their own. While the olive green colorway may not be to everyone’s taste the safari editions of Leica cameras do have a devout following and many of them are in everyday use.
The contest is open to contestants around the world and Photo Promos will award the Leica M-P Digital Rangefinder Camera Safari Set to one winner on October 24, 2015 at PhotoPlus Expo 2015 in New York. You don’t need to be present to win.

Okay, the contest is free but you do have to provide your first name, last name, email, and participate in a survey to enter. So you can expect this info to show up in just about every marketing database on the planet. Of course you could just set up a new Gmail account for contest entries so you don’t get flooded with spam but you’ll need to decide if this is worth the chance to win this handsome camera set.
The entry page does have a box to enter your phone number but it’s not required so don’t enter anything there. There’s no point giving out your phone number unless you like receiving calls from telemarketers!
The other issue is trust in Foto Promos themselves. To be honest, I hadn’t heard of this company until this contest popped up so there’s no telling how reputable they are. Read the contest rules carefully and make an informed decision.
